Services for which charges are made:

Please ask when you request the service.

  • Travel vaccinations, anti-malarial, fitness to travel certificate.
  • Medicals for Work, insurance and driving purposes.
  • Reports regarding fitness to work. Employment and legal request.
  • Private certificates for sickness absence.
  • Claims for private health care schemes,
  • Patients not eligible for free NHS treatment.
  • Supply of medication that is not NHS provided.

Holiday Vaccinations

If you are traveling abroad, please talk to our practice nurse early in your travel plans, so that appropriate vaccination can be planned. If you are unwell on your return please seek advice at an early stage

Annual flu vaccination

The following groups are at risk and should aim to be vaccinated every year.

  • Those with Diabetes, asthma, lung disease heart disease, kidney disease, low immunity, Pregnant
  • Aged over 65
  • Living in a residential home
  • Carers

We usually start vaccinations in October and notices will be posted advising of special clinic sessions.

Pneumonia vaccination

The same group should also receive vaccination against pneumonia. This is a one off injection that gives life long protection. It is currently recommended for all those aged 65 and over.

Midwife

Antenatal clinics are held on alternate Tuesday mornings by appointment. Supporting pregnancy and the post-natal period to mother and baby.

Physiotherapy, chiropody, dietician and community psychiatric clinics are held at Madeley surgery. Patients are seen following referral by GP.
